The New England Patriots will make their primetime debut on Thursday night, taking on the New York Jets at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium. Even though the home team is listed as 6.5-point favorites, both teams enter the contest sporting identical 1-1 records.
For the Patriots to move to 2-1 on the year, and put some distance between them and their division rivals, they need to follow the established recipe: control the ball and the clock on offense, and play stout and fundamentally sound football on the defensive side of the ball.
