It’s been a while since the New England Patriots made a signing. After no moves in that regard on Tuesday, they finally had another player put pen to paper on Wednesday: safety Jaylinn Hawkins is returning to the team on a one-year deal with a maximum value of $2.25 million.
Let’s grade it.
Bernd Buchmasser: Re-signing Hawkins is not a splash move, but one that gives the Patriots stability in two areas of their team. Anytime you can keep a valuable No. 3 safety and five-unit special teamer at a relatively modest cost, you have to do it.
