Earlier today, New England Patriots wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell was spotted on the team's practice fields. This, in turn, means that the team has used one of its injured reserve returnee spots on the second-year man out of Georgia, opening a three-week window for him to be activated to the active 53-man roster.
This activation could happen sooner rather than later, according to NBC Sports Boston's Michael Giardi:

For what it's worth, the 2016 fourth round draft pick caught a combined seven passes for 71 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his two career games against the Jets.
