Newly-named Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels sat down with the Patriots’ social media team this week to talk about his expectations for this season.
“Offense only takes the field for one reason and that’s to try to put points on the board,” said McDaniels. “So our number one goal would be to take care of [the football] and the second part of that is to score as much as we can.”
McDaniels was rehired as the Patriots’ offensive coordinator after spending time with the team in various roles, including as offensive coordinator, between 2001 and 2021. He also had head coaching stints with the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders.
