FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Much like Bill Belichick, for whom he served as a trusted assistant in the early 1990s, University of Alabama head coach Nick Saban seems to adopt a similar media-relations philosophy: If it isn’t about the upcoming game, and doesn’t help the team win, it won’t be a big topic of discussion.
But Saban, whose top-ranked Crimson Tide team visits No. 19 Mississippi on Saturday, seemed to make an exception of sorts this week. Because much like Belichick, Saban takes pride in seeing his former assistants have success, and there’s a neat story along those lines unfolding Sunday when the New England Patriots welcome the Miami Dolphins to Gillette Stadium.
