The New England Patriots bolstered their defense on Monday, bringing back linebacker Harvey Langi on a one-year free agent contract.
Langi’s deal will mark his second stint with the Patriots after spending the last three seasons with the New York Jets.
In 2017, the Patriots signed Langi as an undrafted free agent out of BYU but he only saw action in one game that season after sustaining injuries in a car accident in October. After making a full recovery, Langi was released by the Patriots before the 2018 season opener during roster cuts.
Langi spent the next three seasons with the Jets, working his way up from the practice squad in 2018 to the 53-man roster in 2019.
