Monday marked the 15th anniversary of the death of Arizona Cardinals safety Pat Tillman.
Tillman played four seasons with the Cardinals from 1998-2001 before choosing to walk away from football to enlist in the United States Army.
In the months following the September 11th attacks, Tillman enlisted in May 2002.
Tillman served during the 2003 Invasion of Iraq and with the US Army Rangers in Afghanistan in 2004.
On April 22, 2004 Tillman was tragically killed in a friendly fire incident.
