Former New England Patriots tight end Benjamin Watson made a return trip to Boston this past weekend to host a prayer vigil on Boston Common in light of recent protests against racial inequality.
Watson helped organize “Boston Pray” alongside local organizations and churches and drew hundreds to the famous city park on Sunday.
“Everybody wants to do something, but it’s always important to understand that our wisdom is nothing compared to God’s,” Watson told WCVB. “But also (it was an opportunity to) humbly come together to show some unity, even though we have to address some real issues in this city and this nation.
