It’s about that time of year that Josh McDaniels’ name is attached to open head-coaching jobs.
The New England Patriots offensive coordinator has been with the team for over 20 years collectively, outside of his departure for a three-year stint in between. He’s Bill Belichick’s right-hand man and that was enough to keep McDaniels around, even after he agreed to the Indianapolis Colts’ head-coaching position in 2018.
The Patriots are in a “rebuild” year, but McDaniels has done a phenomenal job of coaching up rookie Mac Jones in a short amount of time.
