Scott Pioli, the former vice president of player personnel at the New England Patriots, believes the franchise are well equipped to cope with the departure of star quarterback Tom Brady.
Next season will be the first for the Patriots in 20 years without six-time Super Bowl winner Brady, who opted not to renew his contract at Foxborough and signed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Pioli was involved in drafting Brady in 2000, and worked with the QB and coach Bill Belichick for nine years - and he believes the system set up at the joint most-successful franchise in NFL history means they will cope without the 42-year-old just fine.
