With his first two NFL seasons in the books, Tyquan Thornton is getting dangerously close to joining the likes of N’Keal Harry, Bethel Johnson, Chad Jackson and Aaron Dobson.
Like Thornton, those four wide receivers were all selected high in the draft by the New England Patriots. And like Thornton, at least judged by his 2022 and 2023 campaigns, they contributed little before eventually flaming out and leaving in unceremonious fashion.
Time will tell whether or not Thornton can still avoid meeting the same fate. However, the former second-round draft choice is not ignorant to the fact that his Patriots career so far has been underwhelming.
