Bailey Zappe’s first start of the season did not go as planned. So, he wasted little time preparing for his second.
With the New England Patriots getting ready for a Thursday night game, Zappe got to work on the Pittsburgh Steelers at 4:30 a.m. Monday morning — roughly 12 hours after his first start ended in a shutout.
It marked the start of a long, short week of staring at his computer screen taking as many mental reps as possible, which paid it’s dividends when he took the field at Acrisure Stadium on Thursday.
