FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) -- A friend of ex-New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez has lost his bid to have a murder indictment against him tossed out.
Lawyers for Ernest Wallace had wanted a Massachusetts court to dismiss the indictment, citing lack of probable cause and impairment of the integrity of the grand jury proceedings. But a judge denied that motion Monday.
Hernandez, Wallace and Carlos Ortiz were charged in the 2013 killing of Odin (OH'-dihn) Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancee. Hernandez, Wallace and Ortiz are from Bristol, Connecticut.
