Jack Jones’ path to Foxborough was a bumpy one.
The cornerback began his college career at USC, but left the school due to “academic issues and rule violations.” At junior college in 2018, Jones was arrested for breaking into a Panda Express, pled guilty to misdemeanor charges, and spent 45 days under house arrest. From there he landed at Arizona State, where he led the team in interceptions in 2019, but was suspended for fighting at practice in 2020.
Despite those issues, Jones’ talent between the whistles brought him to New England. His final college coach, Herm Edwards, told ESPN’s Mike Reiss that he believes the cornerback landed in the right place.
