Patriots defensive lineman Davon Godchaux said he didn’t get everything that he wanted during his contract negotiations, but ultimately was able to reach a deal with the team.
Godchaux signed a two-year, $21 million contract extension with the Patriots earlier this week.
“My wife made me realize something,” Godchaux said. “Every time you’re not going to always get what you want but always be grateful for it. So, I’m grateful for her words and I’m grateful for my agent working it out with the Patriots, Eliot Wolf and Matt Groh. I’m glad we got something done.
