The New England Patriots experienced a lot of turnover among the coaching staff this offseason. The majority of the coaches departed for the Miami Dolphins and former linebackers coach Brian Flores.
Joining Flores were wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea, assistant quarterbacks coach Jerry Schlupinski, and cornerbacks coach Josh Boyer. Defensive line coach Brendan Daly did not have his contract extended and joined the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Patriots coaching staff spoke with the media on Friday and unveiled the new coaching responsibilities. Here they are:
Head coach: Bill Belichick
Offensive coordinator/Quarterbacks coach: Josh McDaniels
Special teams coordinator/wide receivers coach: Joe Judge
Running backs coach: Ivan Fears
Tight ends coach: Nick Caley
Offensive line coach: Dante Scarnecchia
Defensive line coach: Bret Bielema
Outside linebackers coach: DeMarcus Covington
Safeties coach: Steve Belichick
Defensive backs coach: Mike Pellegrino
Assistant special teams coordinator: Cameron Achord
So there are some big changes, with Joe Judge the biggest surprise.
