If the New England Patriots suddenly become sellers before the trade deadline, one of the names on that list probably won’t be quarterback Mac Jones.
Per The Athletic’s Jeff Howe, the Patriots have not received any trade calls for the third-year quarterback.
Granted, it was always a long-shot option for the team to trade Jones at all considering they aren’t comfortable with the options behind him. Bailey Zappe was originally cut before being re-signed after training camp, and Malik Cunningham was waived and re-signed to the practice squad nearly a week ago.
