You can select the big game’s Most Valuable Player before it’s even over: Beginning in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LIII, fans can vote on NFL.com.
The fan vote counts for 20 percent of the total tally — the selections of 16 on-site media members make up the other 80 percent.
Once all the votes are compiled, the broadcast will reveal the winner shortly after the game.
Fan voting began in 2001, and it’s taken off ever since. In the past 18 years, a quarterback has earned MVP honors 11 times, with Tom Brady capturing four of those awards.
