The Patriots quarterback competition has been an intense affair all summer. On Sunday, it looked like the Pats settled on Newton by starting him against the New York Giants in the teams' final preseason game. Removing him and all the starters from the game at the same time seemed to indicate he is also a starter. After the game, Bill Belichick said he still hasn’t named a starting quarterback.
On Monday, when asked about his starting quarterback, the Patriots coach gave a typical answer.
