‘He really said that?’ Kyle Van Noy reacted to Sam Darnold ‘seeing ghosts’

The Patriots defense spooked Jets quarterback Sam Darnold.

New England beat the Jets 33-0 on Monday, frustrating the rookie quarterback whose team was booed by the home crowd. During the second quarter, with the Patriots up 24-0, Darnold was mic’d up by ESPN and caught saying that he was “seeing ghosts,” a reference to Patriots pass-rushers that entered his line of vision but weren’t truly in his personal space.

When informed of the comment after the game, Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy connected Darnold’s comment to the Patriots defensive unit’s nickname, “The Boogeymen.
