While the Patriots may be technically off now until the start of training camp, which will kick off the last week of July, there’s still plenty going on, particularly behind closed doors.
The Patriots have more than a dozen starters or key role players who can reach free agency after the 2016 season. So expect the ball to be rolling on contract talks, and it’s certainly possible for something to play out before the start of the season, especially with a few of the bigger names on the list.
