FOXBORO — Having a case of the drops really isn’t a new problem for Tom Brady’s receivers. It’s been more like a recurring theme this season, as well as seasons past.
The dropsies just happened to be more noticeable against the Eagles, because more people got into the act, and the Pats’ last ditch attempt to tie the game came to a crashing halt after three straight drops.
It’s hard to ignore that kind of display, especially when there’s a loss attached to the end. The Pats had a chance to make the comeback, even after allowing the Eagles to score 35 straight points, but it turned out to be death by the catchable ball on that ill-fated final drive.
