The rest of the league probably got that same sick feeling Sunday night after watching the Patriots finally put it together against the Falcons. It was something along the lines of, “Uh, oh, the real Patriots are back.”
That, of course, would mean the usual trouble and inevitable turn of events in January, leading up to the league’s February showcase, which this season is in Minnesota. But now, given the loss of Dont’a Hightower, everyone can rest easy, especially in the AFC. There’s still a chance. The path to the Super Bowl is wide open.
