Gronkowski, perfect record lost as Patriots fall in overtime

DENVER -- The Patriots lost more than their perfect record last night.

The Broncos knocked off the defending Super Bowl champions, 30-24, in overtime after erasing a 14-point, fourth-quarter deficit. But the greater concern is the long-term health of Rob Gronkowski, who was carted off the field in the fourth quarter with a grotesque right knee injury. Gronkowski leaped for a high incompletion from Tom Brady, and Darian Stewart took out his knee as he landed. Both Brady and Bill Belichick stared blankly as Gronkowski writhed in severe pain on the snowy grass at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
