Gronk roasted old Patriots coach who tried to recruit him from retirement: ‘You have no quarterback!’

Rob Gronkowski heard the reports earlier this year that he was coming out of retirement. The New England Patriots legend has maintained that they were bogus.

But that didn’t stop the calls from coming in to test the waters.

In a recent episode of his podcast, “Dudes on Dudes,” Gronkowski told co-host Julian Edelman about the first call he got from someone trying to see if the tight end was really thinking of coming back to play.

It was New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll, who spent four seasons as Gronkowski’s tight ends coach in New England from 2013-2016.
