Los Angeles (AFP) - National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell said Tuesday he is open to the idea of giving up his role in disciplinary matters following stinging criticism of his handling of the "Deflategate" saga and domestic violence cases.

Goodell told ESPN Radio in an interview he would consider delegating responsibility for disciplinary cases but wanted to avoid outside arbitrators being brought in to settle disputes.
