Goodell: No timeline in Brady case

Those awaiting the NFL’s decision on the appeal of Tom Brady’s four-game suspension received no help from commissioner Roger Goodell yesterday.

In speaking to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Goodell would not commit to a date for the release of his decision pertaining to Brady’s involvement in the deflation of footballs before the AFC Championship Game six months ago in Foxboro.

“We are focused on it,” Goodell said before attending a fundraising luncheon in Southpointe, Pa. “We are obviously being very thorough and want to make sure we consider all aspects of his appeal. We will make a decision as quickly as possible.
