Full text of Roger Goodell's letter asserting he'll hear Tom Brady's appeal

The Herald has obtained the letter Roger Goodell sent to the NFLPA informing them he would remain as the appeals officer in the Tom Brady case. It is copied below in its entirety:

ARTICLE 46 APPEAL OF TOM BRADY

Re: Decision on NFLPA's Motion to Recuse

Our Collective Bargaining Agreement provides that "at his discretion," the Commissioner may serve as hearing officer in "any appeal" involving conduct detrimental to the integrity of, or public confidence in, the game of professional football. I will exercise that discretion to hear Mr. Brady's appeal.

I have carefully reviewed the NFLPA's recusal motion of May 19 as well as Mr.
