The NFL’s biggest game of the year is this Sunday on NBC, but starting next season Thursday Night Football will have a new home at Fox.
Today, Fox Sports announced its new five-year deal with the NFL for television rights to 11 regular-season Thursday night games per year, starting in the fall with the upcoming 2018 season. Thursday Night Football previously aired on both NBC and CBS, with the two rival networks splitting a 10-game package each of the past two seasons as part of a deal that reportedly cost them a total of $450 million annually.
