On Sunday, the New England Patriots and free agency acquisition Dontrelle Inman mutually decided to part ways which in turn allowed the team to add recently reinstated wide receiver Josh Gordon to its 90-man roster. Inman’s agent reportedly requested his client’s release following the news of Gordon’s reinstatement; New England granted the wish of Inman’s camp and parted ways with the 30-year-old midway through preseason.
Despite a largely uneventful tenure with the Patriots, Inman has already found a new home: according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, he has decided to sign with the Los Angeles Chargers (also having an offer on the table from the New York Jets).
