Former Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett finalizing deal with NFC team

Former New England Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Brissett started the first six games of the 2024 season for the Patriots, before being replaced by rookie quarterback Drake Maye. He recorded 826 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception on the year.

It was no surprise to see him get replaced by Maye considering he was always believed to be the veteran bridge option to the rookie quarterback last season. He took over the starting role until the team felt like Maye was ready to take the reins.
