Former NFL cornerback Brandon Browner was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading no contest in his attempted murder case, according to a report from TMZ.
Browner, 34, pleaded no contest to one count of attempted murder, as well as two counts of willful child endangerment, according to the report. The chargers stemmed from a July incident in California where Browner allegedly broke into the apartment of his ex-girlfriend and assaulted her. Her two children were present.
After fleeing the scene, he was arrested and charged. He has been given credit for 300 days served for good behavior in the time that he’s already spent behind bars since his initial arrest in July, TMS reports.
