Former Patriots coach Bill Belichick reportedly interviews for intriguing new coaching job

Last offseason, the New England Patriots moved on from Bill Belichick as their head coach and de facto general manager after 24 seasons, nine trips to the Super Bowl and six Lombardi Trophies.

Now, after a few months in the media, Belichick is looking for his next job in football, as Inside Carolina's Grant Hughes reported that New England's former coach interviewed for the open head coach job at the University of North Carolina.

The position opened up last week after the Tar Heels fired Mack Brown in the middle of his sixth season at the school.
