Kendrick Bourne wasn’t one of the New England Patriots’ high-profile free agent additions during the spring. The wide receiver’s name was mentioned after free agent signees such as wide receiver Nelson Agholor and tight end Hunter Henry.
The former Milwaukie High School star signed a three-year contract worth up to $15 million with the Patriots in March. Bourne said he believes his work ethic will mesh well with the Patriots, a franchise that has won six Super Bowl titles.
“It was a no-brainer to come here. How much they believed in me and appreciated my play style was just awesome in and of itself,” Bourne told reporters.
