The New England Patriots have already started the massive wave of roster cuts to finalize their 53-man roster before the 4 p.m. cutdown deadline on Tuesday.
Coach Jerod Mayo and the rest of the staff will have all of training camp and three preseason games to pull information from when making their decisions. Some of those decisions will be tougher than most when breaking down each position.
It will especially be difficult on the defensive side of the ball considering the deep talent at multiple positions. The Patriots have kept most of their defense intact from 2023, and it's a unit that finished in the top 10 in the NFL.
