Falcons claim offensive lineman Andrew Stueber off waivers from Patriots

Andrew Stueber will head from the AFC East to the NFC South.

The Atlanta Falcons claimed the third-year offensive lineman off waivers from the New England Patriots on Tuesday, according to the NFL transaction wire.

Stueber, 24, had departed from the roster in Foxborough as the final week of organized team activities got underway. He was vying for a backup role between the tackle and guard spots.

Entering the league in the seventh round of the 2022 draft, Stueber marked New England’s last selection that spring. No. 245 overall out of Michigan would spend his rookie season on the non-football injury list while recovering from a torn hamstring.
