Bailey Zappe is on the hunt for a new home.
The Cleveland Browns released the quarterback on Monday in order to make room for defensive tackle Jowon Briggs. Zappe has been the Browns’ emergency third quarterback over their last four games. He didn’t make an appearance this season.
Zappe spent two seasons with the New England Patriots and played in 14 games (eight) starts during his tenure. He started the final six games in 2023 after Mac Jones was benched by then-coach Bill Belichick. Zappe went 2-4, completed 59.
