Former New England Patriots guard Joe Andruzzi is not exactly living a quiet life since retiring from the NFL following the 2006 season. The three-time world champion, who appeared in 81 games for the team between 2000 and 2004, is busy doing good through the Joe Andruzzi Foundation by providing monetary support to cancer patients and their families and “helping them focus on recovery – instead of bills”.
Andruzzi initiated the foundation together with his wife Jen in 2008 after he successfully battled non-Hodgkins Burkitt’s lymphoma. Since then, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised.
