Ex-Patriots executive Steve Cargile reportedly joins Texans after leaving New England

Former New England Patriots executive Steve Cargile, who left the organization after 13 years earlier this offseason, has found a new home. As first reported by Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the 42-year-old is joining the Houston Texans as senior personnel executive and assistant director of pro scouting.

A former safety, who appeared in 16 games during his career as an active NFL player, Cargile originally joined the Patriots in February 2011 as a scouting assistant and assistant special teams coach. He moved into pro scouting in 2012 and over the next decade steadily climbed up the ranks, while earning himself three Super Bowl rings.
