The Buffalo Bills are expected to hire former New England Patriots cornerbacks coach Mike Pellegrino, according to 247 Sports' Matt Zenitz on Monday.
Pellegrino was part of the Patriots' organization for the past 10 seasons. He was instrumental in developing a strong cornerback unit that historically played at a high level.
Standout players like J.C. Jackson, Stephon Gilmore and Christian Gonzalez were some of the corners that developed under his wing. Pellegrino began his career as a coaching assistant in New England. He served in that role from 2015-2018. He then transitioned over to the cornerbacks coaching role in 2019.
