Ex-NFL QB Donovan McNabb to serve 18 days in an Arizona jail for DUI

GILBERT, Ariz. — Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb will serve 18 days in an Arizona jail after pleaded guilty to a non-extreme DUI.

McNabb was stopped by police in the Phoenix suburb of Gilbert on June 28 while driving impaired.

His attorney, Thomas Connelly, told Phoenix TV station KTVK on Friday that McNabb will serve 18 days in jail with work release and be under house arrest for the remainder of his 90-day sentence.

Connelly didn't immediately return calls from The Associated Press.

McNabb is scheduled to report to jail Nov. 30.

The 38-year-old McNabb played 13 seasons in the NFL after being drafted with the second overall pick in 1999.
