The Patriots have the franchise quarterback in Drake Maye, but they have also struck gold with his backup. This offseason, they could flip him for a profit.
The Patriots selected Joe Milton III in the sixth round of last year's draft. Although he did not see much action in the regular season, his raw talent was visible in the preseason. ESPN's Aaron Schatz predicted the Patriots would trade Milton while his stock is high this offseason.
"There could be interest around the league in Milton because of the overall weakness of this year's quarterback draft class," wrote Schatz.
