BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — When asked to play a single word association game, Trey Burton did not hesitate off the prompt of “Patriots.”
With a wide grin, the Eagles tight end answered, “Best.”
It was perhaps the most revealing response a player on his team gave Tuesday in regards to playing a franchise that has become synonymous with the term “dynasty.”
As Super Bowl LII approaches with the Patriots getting a chance to win their sixth title in eight attempts since 2001, the Eagles are still searching for their first. There’s a David vs. Goliath feel to this Super Bowl.
