On Wednesday morning, head coach Jerod Mayo reiterated that Drake Maye is the New England Patriots' starting quarterback and would play in Sunday's series finale against the Buffalo Bills "if he's healthy and ready to go."

On Wednesday afternoon, Maye's health was put into question.

The rookie quarterback popped up on the Patriots' injury report as a limited practice participant due to a right hand injury. Maye was on the field during the portion of practice open to the media and appeared to be throwing without issue.
