FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Thoughts and notes around the New England Patriots and NFL:
1. The Patriots have loaded up on offense, leading some to wonder if if the 2017 attack could rival the record-setting 2007 unit. For a player's perspective, I posed the question to Donte’ Stallworth, who was a receiver on that ’07 team.
“I believe they have opportunity to do that,” Stallworth said from his home in Washington D.C. “When you look at all the things we were able to accomplish, we had [Tom] Brady in his prime and [Randy] Moss had reinvented himself, so to speak, after having a couple of down years statistically, to put together a record-setting season.
