The Patriots have placed wide receiver Aaron Dobson on injured reserve for the second consecutive season.
Dobson suffered a high ankle sprain that will take 6-8 weeks to heal, according to a source. The injury happened when he caught a 17-yard pass during the second quarter of the Patriots’ victory Monday night against the Buffalo Bills.
The 2013 second-round draft pick has been marred by injuries throughout his three-year career. He suffered a stress fracture in his foot as a rookie but was able to return late in the season before undergoing surgery in March, which wiped out his entire 2014 offseason.
