Defensive lineman Henry Anderson was released from injured reserve after reaching an injury settlement with the New England Patriots.
Anderson wouldn’t have been able to return to play for the Patriots this season due to being placed on IR ahead of the 53-man roster cut. So the 31-year-old defensive veteran was looking at a long layoff if the two sides didn’t reach a settlement.
Now, he is free to sign elsewhere and work towards contributing for another team.
The Patriots are seemingly undergoing a shift in mentality with their being a youth movement on the defensive side of the ball.
