After hiring Dont’a Hightower as an inside linebackers coach in February, the Patriots welcomed Tiquan Underwood to the ranks as assistant wide receivers coach just days later. Then, shortly after announcing his retirement from the NFL, Matthew Slater was hired as Mayo’s right-hand man.
“One of Matt Slater’s number one jobs is just gonna be ‘Can we just make sure Mayo doesn’t say something ridiculous,'” Devin McCourty revealed on “Up and Adams.
