With the nation focusing on racial injustice following the death of George Floyd, former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has seen his name become a topic of discussion once again.
The former quarterback has not played in the NFL since the 2016 season. His biggest accomplishment on the gridiron was leading the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl in the 2012 season.
Most recently, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell put out a statement on Monday, urging NFL teams to sign him. Safety Devin McCourty also believes that the league should give Kaepernick opportunity to play, and give him the platform to express his opinions.
