DeVante Parker said he "chose" to be traded to the Patriots, which general manager Chris Grier basically confirmed this week.
It was a nice gesture by the Miami, as Parker was the odd man out of their receiver rotation after seven seasons.
Grier said picking up a third-round pick, while including a fifth, was an "opportunity to do right by the player and the organization."
Speaking with Patriots media on Thursday, Parker sounded thrilled.
"First on my list was the Patriots," Parker said.
Parker has already worked out with New England quarterback Mac Jones.
